Hi All,

I've tried looking through the other posts and couldn't find anything. My outlook is extremely slow when collecting mail. Basically it slows everything else down and the whole computer seems to hang while the mail is collected even when the mail is only something like 10k.

My pst file is about 4gb but i have it spread over various folders and i've set my collection so that i don't leave copies on the server so i presume there isn't an issue with syncronising with the server.

It really is painful, since it slows everything else down and not just outlook.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
