I am working on a 310 page document with over 500 images and word 2003 or above seems to handle it ok. In retrospect I wish I had used some other program that wasn't so retarded, but here I am.

I guess as a test you can make 10 mock pages each with an image, and copy/paste it 60 times and see what happens. If your computer doesn't set on fire, it's probably OK
