Hi
I have had the same issue whereby my old machine failed and I could not deactivate my Office version.
What I did was just loaded my Office version on my new machine and when you try and activate it you should be prompted to contact Microsoft to ask for your Office Application to be activated on your new machine. If you explain what happend they will allow the activation on your new machine.
