Hi
Your issues may be down to the fact that the document you are working on may have differences to entries in the Normal template settings and that is why it is prompting you to save changes to the Normal Template.

Two suggestions which may help:
1. When you saved the document and are prompted to save changes - select yes to all.
2. Look for a fresh clean copy of the Normal template and re-load it.
