Default Keyboard Shortcut to Modify Style? (Word for Mac 2008)

This has been driving me CRAZY for some time, and I finally just need to ask someone for help.

I'm trying to find a way to create a keyboard shortcut for the "Modify Style" command. Not a shortcut to bring up the "Style" dialog box so that I can then choose the style and press the "Modify..." button, but a direct shortcut to modify the style of whatever text happens to be selected.

I was always able to do this in Windows, along with using a keyboard shortcut to "Redefine Style." In the Mac 2008 version, I can access the command "RedefineStyle" from the "Customize Keyboard" dialog box, but I haven't been able to find the command to modify the style.

Anyone know how to do this? It seems like a minor thing, but having to go to the Styles panel, scroll down to the style I want, click on the drop down, and choose "Modify Style..." is wasting so much of my time!!

Someone please help! Any suggestions for automating this are truly appreciated!

FYI, I'm using:
Word for Mac 2008 Version 12.3.0 (110427)
Mac OS X 10.6.8
