I hope I'm not misunderstanding your question, but I think this is real easy. When you go to save your document, do a "Save As" and in the "Save As Type" box click the drop down menu and scroll down to the very end the 2nd to last option on my copy of Word 2003 is Word 97-2003 & 6.0/95. I think this should work fine.
