Default How do I get a summary sentence for each paragraph shown in outline view

Hi there,

I am currently using word to put together a large document (my PhD thesis). In order to assist me in seeing the structure of my document I'd like to have a 1-line explanation of each paragraph so that I could go to outline view and see an abridged version of any particular section of my thesis.

Thus far I have simply used section headers for each sentence, however when this is printed I'd ideally like the option of "hiding" those section headers so that I don't have to manually go through and delete each one.

My questions are:

1) Is there a better way to have a summary sentence for each paragraph shown in outline view that doesn't use section headers - and can be hidden on demand?
2) If not, then is there a way to "hide" section headers of a particular format in a document when printing?

Many thanks,
J
