Default Calender month view peeve - display high priority over low priority appts?

I'm posting this peeve in the hopes that somebody found a way around it. I think Outlook's default behaviour makes little sense in this case.

Generally, I use the week view to check my schedule during the day. But when I want to get a broad overview of what's the next month going to be like for example, I switch over to the month view.

I like the idea of tags which recognises the multi dimensionality of objects and I do mark my appts with categories and priorities.

The Problem:

In the month view, each day is represented with a box that can show at most 2 appts. Now, I think most would agree that the month view is intended to give an overview. If that's the case, it would make more sense to display high priority and normal priority items over low priority items if there are more than 2 appts for that day.

Sometimes, I find myself missing out important things when I do a month by month scan because they are (chronologically by time) hidden in the month view. I'll probably only realize they're there one week before, when I see it in the week view.

It would be nice if Outlook could allow a setting for high priority appts to be given priority view. =) Of course, I'm not taking about the day/ week view, where time chronology is important, but just the month view.

My 2 cents,
Jay
