In my case it’s the very short lines that were a problem: adding /w made the extra tab disappear. This thread has been really helpful as it’s a problem that’s always irritated me and i’d assumed it was due to a hanging indent being larger than the heading length or something. Hanging indents are one of those things that 15 years into this career i still have to play around with until it looks right so i assumed i was just overlooking something. Doesn’t help that Word and PPT do them differently!
