Another thing that would require a macro, I believe.
It should be both an AutoOpen and an AutoNew macro in the Normal.dot file.


The thing is that Word takes the setting from the last used, for the particular file, I believe. So, any time you would change the view, you would get that view upon reopening that document. If that document was the last one open when you closed Word, that would be the starting point for a new document.

It has been about 15 years since I have routinely used Word 2003 for anything. While I have access to Word 97 on my computer, I do not have Word 2003 at this time. If you would prefer I not respond to your questions, say so.
