Default Converting **OLD** Mac Word files to Windows Word

I've got some really old (i.e., close to 30 years old) files that were created in Mac Word; they're files I used when I was teaching business writing in grad school.

The files are now on my Win11 machine. From my windows machine, what is the best way to convert these to a current format? Simply opening the files in work doesn't really work--a lot of garbage symbols, and it appears that some sentences get truncated.

If there's no good way, fine. But I'd like to see if there's a better way. I've attached a sample file--I added the DOC extension to get it to upload.
