Safe mode no better for both problems
-Pages numbers show fine in Print Layout... and Print Preview in Draft Mode... but not in normal view of Draft which I prefer.
-Re invisible page-breaks in draft mode in 2019, but visible in Print Layout. Invisible in 2019 docx, but visible for 1997 docs, so I prefer to work and save in 1997 format.
So it seems MS are phasing out Draft View, because these 2 bugs not fixed.
I will just have to get used to inferior Print Layout.
One day I will upgrade to Office 2021 or later, and hope bugs fixed.
