Word & Excel files created by others won't open in O365
I'm running O365, in Win11 Home 23H2. Word or Excel files created by others won't open directly. A Word file with screen clips of the 2 error messages is attached.
I am able to see the contents of the file by creating a blank document in the appropriate application and inserting a link to the file that won't open. When I click the link the file will open without a problem. I can then save that file with a new name as either a docx or xlsx file, and then that file will open without a problem.
There is ample RAM and disk space so that isn't an issue. The problem will happen even if it's the first thing I do after a hard boot. Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.
