There are project management tools available for publishing, but that may not be what you're looking for. Be aware that industry-specific software tends to be more expensive than more generic stuff.

There are a couple of things like SmartSheet and Wrike that might be suitable...unfortunately, my work PC is pretty restricted in what I can look up. Google is your friend!
