The spell check suggestion is a great way to approach this problem.

If you wanted to specifically do this with find/replace you could run a series to:
1 find bold text and add spaces on either side of the found result, then
2. with no formatting set, remove white space from start and end of paragaphs and finally
3. replace double spaces with one space.
