I've had both Office 2007 Standard and Office 2010 Professional on my desktop for years and it never did this.



After the 'repair' failed I ran an 'install' of 2007 Standard to over-write the Office executables hoping that the issue would disappear. It didn't. I can uninstall both 2007 and 2010 and reinstall one or the other but I'm nervous about losing essential info. I do have backups but would prefer to Not have to recover from them if at all possible.
