Default Selective mail merge of only a single page in a 3 page word document

I have a Word document that I created and saved as a template. The document includes fill-ins that prompt a user to provide the requested information which is in turn placed in the correct locations on pages 1 and 2 of the document when it is open.

This works well.

Next, on page 3, I have inserted merge fields for execution of a mail merge. The problem is that, when executing the mail merge, the newly created document includes page 1 and page 2 with page 3(first merge result), page 1 and page 2 with page 3(second merge result), etc.

I could almost live with this... except that every time the merge re-accesses pages 1 and 2 it also re-prompts for filling in all the fill-in fields on those pages.

Given the background, is there any way to construct the document such that mail merge will only operate on page 3 and append all the merged pages to existing pages 1 and 2 without re-accessing/duplicating them?

I appreciate in advance any assistance from all of you that are way smarter than me...

Mark
