change footnote numbers to letters
I know I have done this in an earlier version of Word but can't do it in Word 2019. I need all the footnote numbers in a document to become letters. I've watched a bunch of videos but none gave me the navigation to change the number formatting for a footnote. I know there's a dialog box that lets you choose what you want for footnote numbers, e.g., Arabic numbers, upper-case letters, etc., but I cannot figure out how to get there. I have not had to do this in a long time. Has Word 2019 removed that capability> If not, they did a great job of making it impossible to find. Going to Footnote Reference style and choosing format doesn't work. I even saw a video that showed the dialog box I want but I couldn't tell how to get there. BTW, if you make tutorial videos for software, please help those of us who have very limited eyesight and a) increase the font size on the page and b) perhaps use a mouse pointer that is a color like purple or blue so we can see where the pointer is. Thanks.
