It's been working for me. There may be an issue with your security settings? Are you getting a popup saying "this location may be unsafe..."? Or are you getting "Cannot open the specified file"? I got the latter when I didn't have the correct link.

Are you creating it by going to Insert/Links? Or just typing it in?
