Exclamation Did I do something wrong?

Am I not using this forum corectly?
Is there no solution to my question?
I don't know where else to go for this.

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP ME!! PLEASE!!!!!

I'm using =LOOKUP(999999,A13:A84) for finding the most recent entered Date in a list of dates.
In cell A100 is the =LOOKUP(999999,A13:A84) formula. This formula is giving me the contents of cell A72. I need a way to change the resulting cell to A71 instead of A72.

There MUST be a way to have Excel subtract the resulting cell by one.
