How do you update Password for Google Workspace Account in Outlook
I noticed anytime I create a Google Workspace email account in Outlook, I can not seem to update the password if I ever change or reset it under Google Admin.
I have changed my Google Workspace email password, so I need to update it in Outlook, yet Outlook gives me no option to do so. I figured I would at least get a popup to enter the correct password as I do with other email accounts in Outlook when the saved password is incorrect. But with the Workspace email, I only get an error that it cannot connect to the server:
Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for 'my email' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for 'my email'. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
I just simply need to update the password to the Workspace email account in Outlook, though it seems there is no way to do this. Please tell me I will NOT need to remove the email account, and thus re-add it back!
Under Account Settings > IMAP Account Settings, there is an option to Reset Mail settings, but it does not ask for the new password either.
I also tried under Account Settings > Server Settings, but there was no option to enter the password, only a field to re-enter my username, which you would think would require a field to re-enter the password for the username entered. Though anytime I click Next to continue through the Server Settings, I get an error that something went wrong. Clicking Try again, fails also.
It shouldn't be this difficult to update a password to a Workspace email in Outlook!
