Consider my
Source_Laptop.
I have many macros defined located in many different modules.
The
personal.xls file is located at
Source_Laptop_Folder_Loc.
I copy the
personal.xls file from my
Source_Laptop to my
Dest_Laptop.
The proper location of the
personal.xls on my
Dest_Laptop is DIFFERENT to that of my
Source_Laptop. This is because my windows account name is different.
Is there any way to edit the file location in my ribbon for all macro entries?
Something along the lines of
FIND field = shaun
REPLACE field = shaun.louw
As I write this I think to myself, I wonder if I can do that in the
Excel Customizations Target.exportedUI file I exported from
Source_Laptop and imported into
Dest_Laptop?
So I open
Excel Customizations Target.exportedUI with a text editor and voila there is an XML like text file.
I do precisely the find and replace above (128 repalcements. Imagine doing that all by hand)
Import the
Excel Customizations Target.exportedUI into
Dest_Laptop and... it seems I am good!
