Not built into Word.

Are you using Ctrl+H to activate this? If so, an intercept or keyboard shortcut likely could be set up to open it in a particular location.

However, whichever location is picked is likely to occlude some of your document.
AFAIK, it can't be docked like the Navigation Pane so will appear over the body.

I just checked my Word 2010, and on mine, the dialog box does try to jump out of the way of a found word.

If you have More options showing for a larger dialog box, you may want to reduce the size by clicking on the Less button once you've selected your optional content. If you are not using the entire screen for Word, you can place the dialog box outside the Window holding Word, in which case it will stay in that one place.
