I went through and did what was explained
Not sure where the error is coming from

Walked through
"How to set up a document with front matter numbered separately..."
Separated main document from front matter,
inserted page numbering for the main document,
and the first time it was blank with the numbers going into the front matter
the next time it kept both sections numbered the same.
Could be I have been at it too long and need a break..?
