Have been using outlook linked to my yahoo email for many years without any issues. My old laptop is dying so want to move all my outlook data files to another laptop before it finally expires.
The old laptop was running office 2007 and windows 10 home. The new laptop also running windows 10 home but office 2013.

first tried to manually setup the link using
name
email address
acc type - pop3
incoming - pop.mail.yahoo.com
outgoing - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
outgoing server requires authentication
use same settings as incoming
incoming server 995
outgoing server 465

for the password I used the password I use to access my yahoo account (which definitely still works for my Yahoo acc)
Did not work - couldnt send test email

I then tried the 'quicker' route by generating an app password. My yahoo account shows an app password already existing for Outlook Desktop generated in feb 2021 and last used august this year - all of that was news to me as i do not recollect generating any password so perhaps done automatically. Anyhow i could not retrieve that password so I decided to generate a new one. After doing all that and using the newly created password in the outlook email setup - same result couldnt connect. The app password is 16 letters and 3 spaces. Couldnt cut and paste as working on 2 separate laptops but tried the password with and without spaces.
Same result would not connect

Everything still seems to be working fine on my old laptop but no joy with the new one

Hope this is something very simple !! Any ideas please
