Hi ttroff,

Checking the size is easy - simply right-click on the image and choose Format Autoshape - Size. The dialogue box tells you what the size is and gives you the option of adjusting the size if need be. The only thing that doesn't tell you is the lengths of the rays. You can check those by centring a circle of the size you want over the star and checking that the rays begin at the right distance from the centre.
