Microsoft always had a problem with MACRO's. The TRUST center was their workaround. Early versions of Office did BUT no longer does. (not sure where they made the cutoff, but I do know WORD 97 does NOT support Macros).
Whether MS$ has again made a determination with the upgrade to Win-11 to HALT Macro use, I'm not sure, but you might want to search on that "issue" rather than in regard to OFFICE being the problem. HTH
