I went into Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options..., Exceptions..., Other Corrections and tried to put in )( but it won't let me. The "Add" button stays grayed out.

I also tried going into AutoCorrect and replacing )( with )( but that didn't do anything.

As mentioned above I also put in )( into both my RoamingCustom.dic and CUSTOM.DIC, but doing that did nothing either.
