The only thing Word 'corrects' of its own accord are spellings defined via AutoCorrect, and even that has no effect on content that has been copied and pasted into a document. And, as Charles posted, you can turn AutoCorrect off.

Aside from that, you can also avoid having Word correct your document's spelling via the simple expedient of not using spell-check and, even if you do, Word won't auto-correct any 'misspelling' unless you tell it to.
