I am a new user of M365 and have been cleaning out a lot of old email.
So much so that I now have over 32000 in the deleted items folder.
I can't seem to get rid of them. Every time I try to delete a single email the curser spins and then I get a message saying 'outlook not responding'
Can someone explain what the issue is and how I can delete email


I don't want to delete all email just about 75% of them
