I knew there was a way. What I have to do it hit reply first, and then I can enter text into the original incoming email. Here's a junk email I received from somebody wanting to sell me LED lights. The screenshot is after I hit reply. See my inserted text in blue.

Obviously I did not actually reply, but you see how simple it is to insert text. Why didn't I figure this out beforehand?
