Default Calculate (optimum) number of files for printing

Hello everyone!
For several projects we need to do some (rather simple, but time consuming) preparations before sending documents to the printshop.
We have to calculate how many documents fit in a folder and how many folders are needed in the end.
As the number of pages and the amount of documents (> 100) vary every time, we have do make these adjustments manually. However I was wondering whether there is a more elegant way to do that.
after summing up the size of the document (the analog withd) = done via a formula, we select the documents which fit into the folder (i.e. 7,5cm) = up to now manually.

is there a way to automatically
- count all files until 8 / 6 (cm) is reached
- highlight and separate these sections,
- preferably make a file consisting of documents of one category first.

à in the end receive the minimum amount of big/small folders.
One additional difficulty might be, that there are not only rows with numbers, but also chapter-separations – which of course, might be sorted out, however they are quite nice for keeping the overview.
I ve added a screenshot, thank you in advance!
