Default Outlook 2019 Column & Row fonts reverting to default?

A friend of mine who is an older gentleman (who wears glasses) had the SSD drive in his notebook fail and I installed a new one and reinstalled Windows / reinstalled all his applications and restored his data. I installed Microsoft Office 2019 Pro Plus (and in Windows Update the option to update other Microsoft software is turned on so he has the latest available updates to MS Office) and he's having a weird problem with Outlook. Because it's hard for him to see I went into View / View Settings / Other Settings and changed the Column & Row fonts to 11 pt Segoe UI to make it easier for him to read and it worked but after a couple sessions of turning the computer on / off / using Outlook and then exiting then after a while opening Outlook again suddenly the default font in the Column / Row will reset back to 8pt Segoe UI and he has to keep manually changing it back. A google search turned up a number of other people complaining about this at answers.microsoft.com but no one ever addressed their problem and at best the people who did answer kept telling them wrongly how to change the default font in a new message which is not the answer to the question being asked. Has anyone here seen this problem and have any idea's how to permanently fix it?
