Default How to calculate fuel consumption within financial spreadsheet

I keep a spreadsheet of expenditure on a monthly basis and have various categories of spending which I summarise for each month.

One category is Diesel fuel, but in order to get the most accurate figure for fuel consumption, I record the mileage each time I fully fill the fuel tank as Category 'dfull', with the actual volume of fuel purchased in an adjacent column. As I don't always fill the tank fully, I keep a note of the amount of fuel subsequently purchased simply as category 'd', recording the volume purchased as above.

It's easy to automatically calculate fuel usage within a single month, provided I use another 'dfull' within that month, but often there may be a much longer interval between fills.

So is there a simple way to selct the previous incident of 'dfull' and calculate how much fuel has been used, including that in the current 'dfull', in order to determine a true fuel consumption figure, knowing the total mileage covered between true fills?

A sample illustrative spreadsheet is attached, which hopefully shows my dilemma.
