Office (and Word 2021) is available now.
When Office 365 was launched, it was the same as Office 2013. Features were added and eventually Office 2016 was launched as a catch up. Then Office 2019, and now 2021 have been launched. At one point, these are virtually identical to Microsoft (Office) 365 (not completely, some features are reserved for 365, but not many).
I agree that having the version 365 in forum profiles makes sense.
It will make historical questions a bit less useful, though.
Which 365? will matter as far as the suggestions made and answers given.
