I have attached two MS Word docx files, made in Word 2019. They are of the same chapter from two different files in a series. If you open the file named "sample 1", you'll see that the footnotes on both pages are closely abutting the footer, with no space between the footnotes and the footer. That is how I need it. In the file named "sample 2", you'll see it contains the same content, but there is substantial space between the footnotes on each of the two pages, and the footer below them. Due to this, the last two rows of the alphabet chart on the first page have been pushed over onto the next page. I need to know what is the reason for that space between the footnotes and the footer, and to be able to remove that space so that the whole alphabet chart will fit on the first page as in the file "sample 1".
