As usual, the culprit is a dumb user (me). I had something in Phrase Express that cause the trouble - instead of deleting the whole PhraseExpress macro I left the CTRL+SHIFT sitting in there.
Thanks anyway, I am posting this, hopefully, as an apology to the forum, too.
