abrogard is on a distinguished road
Default I do not want everything on OneDrive

yes, thanks for that. This has got me interested in the whole thing and I'll try and learn something about it and take onboard information/methods such as yours when I come to trying to do it.

But right now I'm just trying to do some exercises over the school holidays meant to prepare for an exam the day after: an exam that will have us using exactly these forms in this condition.

So best I practice with what I'm going to have to use.

Looks to me like they've made a mistake at their end but they don't like to hear what I think so best I say nothing.

I don't know what Word I'm using exactly because it doesn't seem to fit in the year-by-year naming method they used to use.

What I've got I was given by the school and I suppose it'll disappear when the course finishes. As I posted elsewhere I think it seems to be office 365 and a version of word that's too hard for me to find at the moment. It's not in the usual place under 'help'.

It has this annoying and disturbing 'feature' of opening up and looking like it is going to do everything on this 'One Drive'. At every file open I have to carefully select my local computer. It's quite annoying. I don't want this One Drive for two reasons:
1. I used it once for a while and then suddenly I ran out of space and couldn't continue my work without paying them, which I didn't think was warranted for my circumstances.
2. We get power outages and I work out of range of the web and I want my stuff right here where I know where it is and always available.

I don't doubt the information is available if I were to look hard enough for it but right now I wouldn't know if it also keeps on my hard drive while keeping stuff on the cloud or not because it doesn't make it clear. And being that ambiguous is enough in itself to instill lack of confidence in me.
