the "mark items as read when viewed in the reading pane" will not stay checked after closing and re-opening outlook. it remains checked until I close the program.



This also is happening with the "prompt for confirmation before permanently deleting items" checkbox. I have used the scanpst utility by running it several times until there were minimal errors left.



I have reinstalled outlook, so I'm not certain if the problem resides within the pst file?



This problem started yesterday and I can't narrow down what is causing this to happen now.
