Thank you for that information. I have had a few replies with differing suggestions - so hopeully will get to grips with it. I have managed to do a few labels but it's been a struggle and a lot of fiddling around. The main problem seems to be that once I have the graphics for the label transferred over to Word, then getting it sit well in the label template seems difficult, and not helped by the fact that the ability to adjust the positions and size of the graphic to fit in the the template seem very limited.

I understand what you say about PNG files, they seem fairly bullet proof.
