First time here.
I get links and attachments from the VA.
I used to just click on them and they would open as PDF.
I made the error of trying to 'open with' or properties 'change' to change to Word.
Since then I could only open awkwardly with Word-it asks questions I have forgotten.
I preformed a system recovery and now can open what they send as PDF which format I keep to be consistent with the VA.
I tried 'open with' and properties to 'change' but had no PDF as a choice.

What error did I make, besides being foolish, so I could not revert from the Word doc to PDF again?

ver2101 'click to run' as I have MS Office Home and Student 2019
