The green&bold is applied to the correct answers (as determined by the quiz creator). The red highlight is applied to any checkbox that is not answered correctly by the student. These format decisions are independent of each other.
Your macro sample can apply formatting to the table contents but that is overkill if it isn't being changed. You can apply desired formatting to the table using the GUI before the code runs to populate the table.
