Here is an example. I have attached a file which contains only single quote marks, plus one word in single quote marks. The row of single quotes is in Nirmal font, and the single quote mark preceding the word is in Times New Roman; the single quote mark following the word is in Mangal font.
If you do ctrl-H for find and replace, and put a single quote mark in the find window, and for the replace put a single quote mark, this time with font Times New Roman, size 14. When you give the order for find and replace, MS Word will replace all the single quote marks in the row as requested, changing them to Times New Roman font size 14. But, although it will 'find' the Mangal font quote mark following the word, yet it will not change the font to Times New Roman; it will remain as Mangal font.
Is there a solution?
