Word Pop-Up when opening documents

MS Office = Pro Plus 2019 v2012 Build 13530.20376 Click-to-Run
MS Office shows ‘Activated’.
I usually open Word documents with no problems but this is a new PC with newly installed MS Office suite and I am getting the same pop-up most times I try to open any Word document. It does not happen 100% of the time and never with Excel or Publisher.
I have File Explorer (FE) set with Preview Pane enabled and, if I single-click on a Word document the preview pane shows ‘This file cannot be previewed’ and I find a pop-up behind the FE window. If I then close the pop-up the preview is displayed.
The preview problem also happens with Excel files but not the pop-up.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
