Default Now() Function Not Updating in MS Project

Hello,

I am new to working with MS Project, so please bear with me

I am trying to create a column that will give the days from now until the end of the task. So, essentially number of days from today to task finish date.

I inserted a new column and added the following formula:
DateDiff("d",NOW(),[Finish])

This seems to work, however, when I open the document the next day, the column doesn't automatically update. So I have to right click on the column, select custom fields, and select the formula button. I don't have to re-enter the formula, at this point, I just have to click OK and it will update.

I was hoping that this would work like the Today() function in excel and update each time that the document is opened.

Any tips that anyone is able to share would be greatly appreciated!
