- Do not use the Enter key to space between paragraphs. Use Space-Before and Space-After paragraph settings.
- Use Page-Break-Before paragraph formatting when you want to force a page break. This is applied to the paragraph you want at the beginning of a new page - preferably as part of the paragraph style's definition.
- Do not use the spacebar to position things horizontally. Use Tabs or Tables.
- Use the StyleRef Field in your headers and footers to change content to match text in the body of the document. Minimize use of Section breaks.
- As much as possible, do your formatting using Styles.
