I work for a company where a number of people are required to produce documents for customers. These are made up of a number of elements. Heading hierarchies, general text, charts, character profiles (e.g. image, name, key attributes and text paragraphs), pictures, quotes.

Is there a way of setting up a document such that you could have the option to, for example drag and drop a 'character profile' template, in to a page.

Alternatively, can you set up different spreads within a single template so that you can mix page templates within a document?

We need a number of repeating elements but they are not always in all documents and could be any combination in any order. Am I asking top much of word?
