Macro: possible? Probably but I would not want to try to write it! I do not know that the macro recorder will pick up positioning Word windows. The minimizing the Ribbon is not, last time I checked, available to vba.

Tabs: Double-click on a Tab and it will hide the commands, or display them if already hidden. When commands are hidden, clicking on a tab reveals them until you move the mouse pointer out of the Ribbon.
Also, Ctrl+F1 will toggle this.

See Minimizing Ribbon / AutoHiding Ribbon / Toggling Toolbars - Article: - by Charles Kenyon for more ideas. Note that AutoHide works only in Word 2013 and later.

Side-by-side: Move your windows to where you want them.
