Unfortunately for your requirement, Word is not a page layout application and what you are trying to achieve would be quite difficult. One possibility is to insert the images either in front of or behind text (you can set these options from File > Options > Advanced > Cut Copy and Paste > Insert/Paste pictures as: ) You can then drag the images from Windows File Explorer and drop them in the page and drag to place.


You will also probably have to adjust the sizes of the images to get them to fit where you wish. Using a table (as in my previous suggestion) works better for Word image collections.
