Hi, Jerry31x

That is frustrating. Your styles probably changed somehow. To fix the problem, you can try the following:

Highlight the first set of outlines that are giving you problems. The style should be automatically highlighted in the "Home" tab under "Styles." If not, click the "Styles" dialog box launcher to open the Styles task pane.

Right-click on the highlighted style (either under Styles or in the task pane) and click "Modify." This opens the Modify Style dialog box.

Click the "Format" button at the bottom of the dialog box and select "Numbering." The Numbering and Bullets dialog box opens. Choose the correct numbering you wish to use or click the "Define New Number Format" button if the option you need isn't provided.

Click "OK" to return to the Modify Style dialog box. A preview of the format you've selected should display. To fix any alignment issues, click the "Format" button and "Paragraph" or "Tabs" and fix them as well.

Back in the Modify Styles dialog box, click where you want the style applied -- "Only in this document or in "New documents based on this template." Then click "OK."

Hope this helps!
